Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The park is about 35 miles southeast of Knoxville and roughly 215 miles, or a 3.5–4 hour drive, from Nashville.
A full day is recommended to enjoy rides, shows, and dining. Arrive early for shorter wait times.
Dollywood is open from mid-March through early January. The park is not open every day, and operating hours vary throughout the season. Dollywood is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. You can view Dollywood’s operating hours above when selecting your tickets. Park hours are subject to change.
Yes, shows and entertainment throughout the park are included with your tickets to Dollywood theme park. Special events requiring separate tickets are not included.
Children must be at least 13 years old to enter Dollywood theme park without an adult. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by someone age 16 or older. Unescorted children will not be admitted.
Children 3 years of age and under are admitted free at Dollywood. You don't need to purchase a ticket until your child is 4 years of age.
Standard parking is $25 for cars and motorcycles. RV and oversized vehicle parking is $30. Preferred Parking is $55 and includes access to a separate entrance near the gate, along with shorter walking distance and dedicated ticket windows. Free tram service is available from most general lots. Re-entry is allowed with a valid receipt, but space is not guaranteed.
Yes, Dollywood is wheelchair accessible. Most areas of the park, including shops, restaurants, and theaters, are designed for easy access.
Yes, Dollywood offers daily rentals of wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs). Rentals can be reserved online or rented at the park on a first-come, first-served basis. ECV operators must be at least 16 years old, and those under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the rental agreement. ECVs are single-person use and have a 400-lb weight limit.
Yes. All-day lockers are available at the Front Gate for $15. Floating Lockers are $10 per day and can be moved from ride to ride without paying again. These are located at Wild Eagle, Mystery Mine, FireChaser Express, Daredevil Falls, Barnstormer, River Rampage, Tennessee Tornado, Country Fair, and Lightning Rod. All lockers are first-come, first-served, and prices are subject to change.
Yes. Strollers are available on a first-come, first-served basis for $18 (single) or $20 (double). Guests may also bring their own strollers, which can be carried onto trams if empty. Designated stroller parking areas are marked throughout the park. It’s recommended to add a personal identifier to make your stroller easy to spot. Prices are subject to change.
No, Dollywood does not allow coolers, or outside food and drinks except for one unopened bottle of water per person. However, the park offers a wide variety of delicious food items at their restaurants and snack vendors.
Yes. You will need to have your hand stamped at the exit at the Dollywood Emporium. Keep your ticket so it can be scanned when you return.
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and walking shoes. Shirts and shoes are required at all times. Clothing must be family-friendly. Some rides require footwear with heel straps.
Yes. Dollywood offers a complimentary Package Pick-Up service for purchases of $25 or more, as well as fragile or oversized items. Let the shop Host know at checkout and you’ll receive a card with the time your items will be ready. Purchases are delivered to the Dollywood Emporium near the exit for pick-up when you leave. Package Pick-Up is available until park closing and not offered within two hours of closing.
Yes, Dollywood has multiple First Aid stations staffed with medical personnel during all park hours. Locations include Jukebox Junction, Wilderness Pass, Wildwood Grove, and the Village near the train crossing. Ask any Host in the park for assistance or directions.
Yes. Dollywood’s Baby Care Center in Showstreet offers private nursing areas, rocking chairs, and baby changing stations in a climate-controlled space. Additional nursing stations are available in select restrooms throughout the park.
Yes. Family restrooms with private entrances are located in Country Fair, Owens Farm, Wilderness Pass, and Showstreet.
Yes. Dollywood's Parent Swap program allows one adult to wait with a child while the rest of the group rides. Then adults swap places without waiting in line again. Ride Hosts will explain the process and direct families where to wait.
Pets are not permitted inside Dollywood. However, service animals on a leash or harness are welcome but may not ride attractions. For guests visiting with dogs, Doggywood offers onsite kennel and cottage rentals—reservations are highly recommended.
Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is only permitted in designated outdoor smoking areas inside Dollywood and Dollywood's Splash Country. These areas are marked on the park map. Smoking is not allowed in ride lines, theaters, shops, or restaurants.
Dollywood remains open during rain, but some rides may temporarily close for safety. If weather impacts your visit enough to cut your day short, you may qualify for a complimentary return ticket. Just stop by any ticket booth before you leave. All guests must be present to receive the rain check. TimeSaver passes are not eligible for refunds or rain checks.
The name on the E-Ticket is the primary ticket holder but the tickets are valid for all within your party.
Weapons and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Dollywood premises.
